Ever watch a movie so bad you had to turn it off?

With the advent of Netflix it’s pretty easy to catch up on movies that I missed the boat on the first time around. This time I wanted to finally watch Dinner for Shmucks. It had an excellent cast (Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, Jemaine “I wear leather trousers well” Clement, Zach Galifianakis, etc.), an interesting premise, and was a remake of a French film. What could go wrong?

Pretty much everything from the first scene on.

I enjoyed Jemaine’s character Kieran. He definitely hammed it up as an artist just a little too into himself. Overall though, it was not watchable. Erik finally cried “Uncle” about halfway through, and I switched it to something else.

I tried to like it, I really did. It was just not to be.

Feel free to form your own opinion, though 🙂
