DVD workout review: Les Mills’ Pump Revolution

This particular workout has all the old favorites from the class offered at the gym (forgive me if the order is off):

  • Warm-up track
  • Squat track
  • Chest track
  • Back and legs track
  • triceps track
  • biceps track
  • lunges (and squats) track
  • shoulders track
  • Abs track
  • cool-down track

A grand total of 56 minutes approximately. I have decided not to follow the schedule that’s included because as it is I’m trying to attend as many martial arts classes as possible, and let’s face it… I’m not one of those two-a-day-workouts type of athlete. My body has a limit 🙂 So, if at all possible, I’m going to do Pump Fridays and Sundays, and martial arts M-W and Saturday.

You’re probably saying to yourself, “This chick is nuts… why does she put herself through all this?” Well, I’ll tell you… I have somewhat of a case of the insanities 😛 No, I kid, I kid. I’m the type of person that’s happiest when I’m working out. It keeps me centered and gives me an outlet for frustrations having to do with work, or life in general. The stronger my body is, the stronger I feel overall. I can deal with work, school, and life better when I can do what I consider fun. Exercise (the right type mind you) is fun for me.
